Tripoli-based CBL receives UK-printed banknotes worth LYD300 million
The Central Bank of Libya based in Tripoli has received this morning a new shipment of banknotes that are printed in Britain. The shipment, which is worth LYD300 million, arrived in Mitiga Airport in Tripoli.
On the official page of the CBL, it says the banknotes will be distributed on all the Libyan commercial banks in all of the cities and districts with no exception as per the banking regulations of the Libyan laws.
Earlier this week, the CBL received a similar shipment coming from Britain and it was worth LYD250 million. These shipments come as part of an agreement between Libyan and Britain to print the Libyan dinar banknotes for the CBL.
