Canadian Military Commander says military action in Libya is inevitable
The Commander of the Canadian Military, Jonathan Vance, said Thursday that military action in Libya to help eradicate ISIS is inevitable, saying this would happen on the condition that the Libyan GNA provides clear combat vision against ISIS.
Vance told CBC that the GNA is the only official body that can fight off the terrorists of ISIS in Libya and it is the one that can decide if it needs foreign intervention to help eradicate the militants or not.
He reiterated his country’s support for the GNA and readiness for cooperation in security with the Libyan authorities, pointing out that all Libyans must bear in mind that ISIS poses eminent threat to their country’s stability.
