72 illegal migrants rescued off Libyan coast
The Libyan Ministry of Interior announced on Friday that 72 illegal migrants were rescued from the sea by one of the vessels of the General Administration of Coastal Security and returned to the port in Tripoli.
The ministry stated that the migrants, having been rescued, were transferred to the disembarkation point in the port of Tripoli and that all humanitarian and health assistance was provided to them in cooperation with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM.)
The Interior Ministry confirmed that legal measures were taken against these migrants and they were handed over to the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency for processing.
