Tunis Carthage Airport forecasts record passenger numbers
Tunisia’s main aviation hub, Tunis Carthage International Airport, is on track to achieve a significant milestone in passenger traffic, according to aviation authorities.
The Tunisian Civil Aviation and Airports Authority announced the projected achievement through an official statement accompanied by photographs documenting the anticipated milestone.
Amal Ben Milad, Director of Communications at the National Office of Civil Aviation and Airports, told Mosaique FM that passenger numbers are expected to exceed 7 million by year’s end, marking a historic high for the facility.
Official data shows significant growth in both passenger numbers and flight operations. The airport has reported an 8.8 percent increase in passenger traffic, with commercial flight movements up by 4.8 percent, reaching 54,015 flights over an eleven-month period.
The projected record would represent a significant recovery for Tunisia’s aviation sector and its flagship airport, reflecting renewed growth in both tourism and business travel.
