Third Force withdraws from Timnahent airbase in southern Libya
The Third Force of the Defence Ministry of the Government of National Accord (GNA) has announced Thursday withdrawing from the airbase of Timnahent, near Sabha, in southern Libya.
According to sources, who spoke to a Libyan local TV Channel, the withdrawal of the Third Force from Timnahent airbase came to save bloodshed as Operation Dignity is mobilizing forces to storm into the airbase.
“Third Force pulled out all its fighters and vehicles and headed to another position in southern Libya.” The source disclosed.
Pro-Haftar Brigade 116 posted on social media photos of the airbase after the pullout of the Third Force from it.
“We have seized control of Timnahent airbase without bloodshed after Third Force militias had run away toward Al-Jufra through the desert.” Brigade 116 wrote on Facebook.
