Libyan forces take 90% of IS hideouts in Sirte, advance into Ouagadougou Halls
The Libyan forces of AL-Bunyan Al-Marsous have advanced into the Ouagadougou Halls Compound, seizing on their way the police academy building and the Al-Giza military zone, as well as the Sirte University buildings in Sirte from the control of IS militants.
The media spokesman of the Misurata-led forces indicated that their forces killed tens of IS radicals as they carried out their fresh attacks on their last hideouts in an attempt to take control of Ouagadougou Halls Compound and then eradicate the whole group from the city.
“We’re about to finish them up, we’re going to advance into their long-time hideout in Ouagadougou Halls Compound and then liberate the whole city from them.” The spokesman added.
The spokesman of the Libyan forces led by Misurata brigades under the command of the Presidential Council’s Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous operation, Mohammed Al-Ghasri, said they controlled the hotels compound in Sirte, pointing out that it is a very strategic area as it is only 2 km away from Ouagadougou Conference Halls Compound and 100 m away from Dollar Neighbourhood and Ibin Sina Hospital.
