Haftar orders Operation Dignity loyalists to be ready for Tripoli battle
The leader of the Operation Dignity in eastern Libya, Khalifa Haftar, who is backed by the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR), said Sunday night in a statement that all the loyalist forces in western region must get ready to move into Tripoli and free it from the Islamist Political militias.
Haftar said he and his forces in cooperation with his loyalists in the western region are going to defend Tripoli against the current chaos and killings created by what he said “Islam Political Parties” backed by many foreign countries including Qatar.
Haftar slammed Qatar in his statement as a funding party for the militias that are destabilizing Tripoli, according to his statement.
“I call for the state of emergency and mobilisation of all troops to engage in a conflict that will end the presence of the militias that are endangering the lives of Libyans.” Haftar said , urging for coordination with the Chief of Libyan Armed Force in Tripoli – the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord.
He hailed the fighting and what he called defence clashes of the Tripoli pro-PC force against the rival forces of the Salvation Government, which he said are backed by Qatar and are Islamist Political groups that are destroying the capital.
