British Ambassador to Libya arrives in Tobruk to meet HoR Speaker
The British Ambassador to Libya, Peter Millett, arrived Tuesday in Tobruk, eastern Libya, to meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agilah Saleh.
The meeting is supposed to discuss the implementation of the Skhirat-signed political agreement.
According to sources from the meeting, Saleh said that the UK Ambassador admitted that the Presidential Council of the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) had failed to rule the country and do what it had been tasked with.
“Mr. Millett agreed that the political agreement must be amended so that there would be only a President, two deputies and a prime minister and other personnel.” According to sources from Tobruk meeting.
